When i say India! I feel Place.

Being an Indian from birth, i have never felt as such proud about it. Not that i don't like being in India or something like that, but nothing made me feel that this is what i ever wanted, to be born and brought up in India. For me it had never been so important as in where i am born, and which county i love. For me its all about making the full use of your life, as we have to throw it one fine day.So when you know something is not going to be with you forever, you have to use it fully. okay, so this post is a kind of dedicated to my birth country India.

I know India is a country with diversity, and i had this dream to explore whole of india, the land, the culture, and feel about it. I am not very good with the ancient stories and philosophy's, or the Ramayana or Mahabharata( The ancient Sanskrit epic with great cultural ethics of India), i am never as such involved with any religion, or follow any one, Its not Ram (The god) or the Shiva or the Ganesha that matters to me, but there is something else that matters and we call that as humanity. My parents are a true believer of a god called 'Tirupati Balaji'( Almost half of the indians have visited Tirupati balaji, and they donate crores of rupees in the temple whenever they go), but for me and my brother we never felt that importance of following one god thing. I have always been to temple, no doubt in that, but when i go to temple i visit because i get peace, i get to feel the kindness that is still there in the world. But when people go to temple just to ask something, or to say them ' God please i want a good Job, or i want a good House' i feel bad about we Indians. May be i am wrong and i dont wanna hurt anyone here. But being an Indian i do believe in culture and traditions that we have, but i also believe that we need to work hard, play hard to get something in life. We just can't be totally dependent on god for everything happening in our lives.

I love something about India and that thing is when i am hungry and no one is there home, i am sure i can go to my Neighbors house and ask them to give me a meal. And yes that does happened with me. When i was in high school, at times i did't felt like eating my mom's cooked food, and i used to go to the neighbor and say....that i don't feel like having lunch at home. Well that's it, they used to force to have lunch there, and then leave me my way. I love how we all living in the same country follow different cultures, and atleast stand by side when in need. I love how we are growing and adapting to new and positive changes in the culture, but have the awareness of atleast to thank god everyday, or just look at the temple, turn, bend our face, and say thank god, and move on. How still Ganesha is the god to be prayed first in any event, be it marriage, or the new house construction, or buying of land or a new job. I love how we guys distribute sweets when we buy a new car, or when we get promoted. I actually like how we thank god at every moment or our life. But i also believe that hard work is needed and our own opinions should be hold on to.

I feel proud, when i see the country growing. I feel proud how every Independence and republic day we sing our national Anthem' Jana gana man adhinayak jaya hain, Bharat bhagya Vidhata' . When i say these words i feel a kind of responsibility i hold on to the country India. Being in MNC's we don't get to sing this even on Republic day or Independence day as well. But i see my Mom and Dad going to the office early in the morning of every independence and Republic day celebrating the country (as they work for central government, they have this tradition going on from years). They raise the flag, sing the Anthem, and then feel proud about being born and raised up in India. I have never seen the old Gen people complaining and Whining about India, unlike our Gen does.

As an indian, i have to do few things. Visit Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders in the world, Visit the states and see the culture and enjoy the diversity. I also have the dream of getting married in Rajasthan ( a state in india, known for its couture) in their culture and traditions . I somehow from the time i was a kid, wanted to wear those heavy Jewell, the heavy traditional attire that people wear in Rajasthan. I love the city over there, Udaipur, and the lake, the camels, and how they still have prince and princess .

I love the sand, the quietness of the deserts, the folk songs, and then the palace on wheels (yeah its a kind of Royal train which takes you to all the destinations including Jaipur, Ranthambor, Jiasalmer, Jodhpur, Bird sanctuary Bharatpur etc.) and yes, that train is actually royal and with royal food, atmosphere with the Richest of people travelling in it. you have your own personal room, and the price is good too. They charge you us $ 500 to $670, depending on the occupancy. So i have a dream to travel in that.

Alright guys, i would like to conclude this article saying Happy Republic day to all.
Jai Hind!!

P.S: When i say getting married in Rajasthan that does mean to find a guy from there. But means, that my wedding should take place in the palace in Udaipur or in Jaisalmer culture.

  1. Hey nice one….. every one of us is proud of our country for one or the other reason mentioned by you…… but still India deserves much better destiny than the present condition…… India has given a lot to us…… but in return very few people give back to the country

  6. India is truly a land of diversity and rich culture. We do not realize it when are here. It is only when you are somewhere else that you truly appreciate it. You can see the mountains, the desert, the beaches and the rivers in India.

  7. @Meera : yes i agree completely. We really don't realize it when we are here. But when we are away from the place where we are born and raised, we miss India. It actually happens with everyone of us. the birth country holds a place for sure.
